The award is a "sake, shochu, and awamori competition by French people, for French people," and was judged through blind tasting by French sommeliers. The taste of ``Washuka'' and ``Kazei'' was highly praised in France, which is a world-class wine producing country and a leader in food culture.
``Wafuka'' also won the Jury Prize.
The President's Award (highest award) will be announced on July 6th from the jury awards in each category.
